I
became interested in the Maltese breed in 1992 when I was
given a beautiful puppy. He so enchanted us that we have
devoted ourselves to this wonderful breed. After
researching the breed I purchased two females from a
responsible breeder whose sire was from the Richelieu line.
I was so pleased with their quality, that I later purchased
Poco and Callie whom I co-owned. They were
professionally handled to their championship.
Since
then, I have met some remarkable people in the world of
Maltese. One of these people is my friend, Amy Preuett, of Sands
Maltese. She has been so helpful both in working with
the Maltese and allowing me the access to other excellent
bloodlines. Her opinions and straight talk have been greatly
appreciated!
Our
Maltese are a part of our family and raised in the home with
us. Sometimes my husband jokes and says “we live in a
kennel”. We are responsible breeders breeding to the
AKC standard; first, for show quality. Those puppies
that don’t qualify for show are placed in carefully selected
pet homes after reaching 12 -16 weeks of age.
Families who receive our puppies keep in touch with us to let
us know how they are doing.
We
guarantee our puppies health in writing. Before going to their
adoptive home, they have had their puppy shots, been to the
vet for a well puppy check, started on a potty pad, and are
happy, well socialized puppies. We stand behind our
puppies letting the new owners know that should something come
up and they are unable to keep their Maltese that we will take
them back, no matter the age. We do not want our Maltese
going to the humane society or the local dog pounds.
With
all of this said, I hope that you will enjoy our web site.
Welcome to Phlick's Maltese!
